The pie chart and bar graph provided illustrates distribution of water in the world and the proportion of consumption of water for three countries— Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and Canada in three different sectors, respectively.
Overall, majority of the water present on the earth is salty. The minute percentage of freshwater is mostly inform of ice and glaciers. Further, Egypt and Saudi Arabia use water mainly for agriculture purposes, while usage of water in Canada is mostly industrial.
As per the pie charts, salt water constitutes for 97% of the total water present on the earth ,while freshwater accounts for merely 3%. Moving to the sources of freshwater, 97% is in the form of ice and glaciers, followed by groundwater at 20% and remaining 1% is in the surface.
As per the bar graph, in Egypt and Saudi Arabia, the most significant use of water was for agriculture at nearly 80% and 75% respectively, while in Canada industries utilised the majority of water at roughly 80%. Conversely, Egypt and Saudi Arabia used least water for industrial purposes at less 10% and 10% respectively. On the other hand ,for Canada, agriculture accounted for the least water usage at less than 10%. Lastly, the domestic usage of water was in the middle for all three countries at approximately 15% for Egypt and South Arabia and 10% for Canada.
