The illustrations depicts data about some students who decided to take an art course. To be more specific, first bar chart displays the reasons of students in different ages that decied to take the new art lesson. Second bar graph illustrates the students by age that who had a positive outcome from the lecture.
Overall, in the first graph, as age of students increase, we can see that interest in ‘Career progession’ reason decreases, whereas ‘Personal interest or passion’ reason increases. The second graph appears to have a similar path, where level of satisfaction decreased as age increased.
Firstly, the students who are under 26 have very high interest in ‘career progression'(80%). Furthermore, their interest of having the lecture for hobby is quite low(>10%). The cause for ‘Career progression’ shows a rapid fell between the ages under 26 to over 49, where it fell from 80% to less than 20%. Conversely, as students age gets older, their interest shifts to ‘Personal interest’. For instance, students who took the course as a passion increased from around 10% to 70% between the ages under 26 to over 49.
Secondly, it seems that students under 26 has the most level of satisfaction. In contrast, student between the age 30-39 has the least satisfaction. Throughout all the different ages, percentages begins with over 60% in students under 26, then fells in age 30-39 to around 30%. Finally, it dramatically recovers to above 40% in students over 49.
