The illustrations below give information about the principal reasons for study according to the age of the student and the amount of support they received from employees by age group.
It is clear that for students under 26 years old the most relevant reason to study is for a career with 80%. However, interest (10%) is the least important reason at that age. Whereas for students 40-49 years old, for career and interest, both represent the same important reasons to study about 42%. Additionally, for students over 49 years old, Interest represents the main reason to study with 70% against career with approximately 18%.
Moving to the amount of the employer support by age group, under 26 years old employers represent the highest amount of support the students received from them with around 62%. Followed by 26-29 years old employers and over 49 years old with about 51% and 45%, respectively. Finally, The last age group of employers that were helpful with the students were 30-39 years old with approximately 32%.
To conclude, we see the youngest people prefer study for career instead of interest and the oldest ones the opposite. On the other hand, the youngest employees are the most helpful with the students and the 30-39 years old are the least.
