The bar graph illustrates the number of Japanese tourists who travelled abroad in a period of ten years from 1985 to 1995. The line graph provides data about Australia’s share of the Japanese tourist market.
On observing the first chart, it is known that there was a gradual increase in the number of Japanese who travelled abroad between 1985 and 1995. Coming to the next graph, we can see that the highest percentage of the Japanese toured Australia in 1993.
In the bar graph, an increase in the number of international Japanese tourists is noted between 1985 and 1990 followed by a fall in 1991 then it continues to increase. Only around 5 million Japanese toured internationally in 1985. However, this rose to nearly 15 million by 1995.
Moving ahead to the line graph, it is evident that the percentage of Japanese tourists who toured Australia met some fluctuations rather than a constant increase. It was the highest in 1993 when around 6 percent of Japanese tourists visited Australia followed by a very small decrease in 1994.
