More specifically, the three biggest reasons for leaving the UK are quality of life, financial problems, and employment. 37% prefer to leave the United Kingdom because of quality of life. The second reason for leaving the UK is financial problems, which represent 24%. 18% choose to leave Great Britain because of employment, which is the third position in the first chart. The two minor reasons are weather and family/ friends, which account for 12% and 9% respectively.
In the second chart, 43% choose to stay in the UK for family and friends, which is the biggest segment in the second chart. 15% prefer to stay because of employment and financial reasons. The other two reasons for staying in the UK are language and social life, which are 11% and 21% respectively.
