To begin with, in 1995, number of travellers to Australia from Japan was almost 1,600,000. Although, by 2005, this figure signifiantly decreased to 1,000,000. In the UK in 1995, this quantity was 800,000. However, this figure rose dramatically to approximately 1,600,000 by 2005. In 1995, the quantity of tourists from US to Australia was nearly 600,000. Although, by 2005, this figure sharply increased to over 1,400,000.
Meanwhile, figure of travellers with backpacking type was approximately 1,500,000 in 1995. However, it grew rapidly with almost 2,500,000 in 2000. Although, by 2005, this quantity significantly went down with over 1,000,000. While, in 1995, number of tourists who prefered staying at resorts was nearly 500,000. Whether, this number steadily increased with to over 1,000,000 by 2005.
