The provided charts compare the data about the proportion of electricity usage by eight key sectors in Eastern Australia during 2007 and 2010.
As an overall trend, it can be clearly seen that in both years the biggest energy consumer is residential sector, while the least are transport and agriculture.
As for residential and commercial sectors, they both illustrate nearly the same percentage in both periods, representing almost half of the pie. In contrast, transport and agriculture sectors occupy only 1% of the pie in 2007, as well as in 2010, meaning they are the least consumed sectors.
In terms of manufacturing and aluminium, they both fell sharply, from 13% each in 2007 to 9% and 11% in 2010, respectively. On the other hand, the consumption of other materials rose significantly during the period, from roughly the same portion as manufacturing and aluminium in 2007 to 18% at the end. Finally, the mining sector remained at the same level of 9% during the whole period.
