The pie charts compare the proportions of electricity consumption of separate sectors in Eastern Australia between 2007 and 2010.
Overall, it is evident that the majority of electricity was harnessed for residental and commercial purposes. It is also noticeable that there was a shift in the energy used percentage towards other metals from manufacturing and aluminium sectors.
More specifically, the energy consumed to serve local lives and commercials constituted for more than half the total energy consumption in the region in both two years. At the same time, the proportions of energy used in mining, agriculture and transport remained static over the recorded time frame.
In the remaining sectors, while the energy utilized in both three sectors were approximately similar in 2007, which accumulated up to 40%, the pattern appears differently in the next three years. To be specific, there was a growth of 6% in the percentage of energy consumption of other metals, provided that energy consumption proportions in manufacturing and aluminium sectors had reduced by 2 to 4%.
