The graphs below provide data on the proportion of electricity usage by different sectors in Eastern Australia both in 2007 and in 2010.
From an overall perspective, it is readily apparent that in both years residential and commercial categories accounted for the largest percentage among all, whereas transport and agriculture shared the least considerable proportion.
Specifically, in 2007 residential and commercial sections made up roughly a quarter of the electricity consumption, with 28% and 23% respectively, while only 1% was shared by both agriculture and transport section. Manufacturing and aluminium utilized almost the same percentage of electricity, both sharing 13% of the pie chart, while other metals accounted for slightly less proportion of 12%. Additionally, mining section accounted for only 9%, being less than most categories.
In 2010, the overall electricity consumption experienced only some slight changes. The majority of categories, such as residential, commercial, transport, agriculture, and transport have remained the same three years later. However, that was not the case for aluminium, which experienced a slight reduction, reaching about 11%, and for manufacturing, which fell down to 9%. Moreover, the section of other metals has also undergone some slight alterations, rising from 12% to 18% in 2010.
