Overall, Oman imported considerably more vegetables in comparison to Qatar. Although garlic witnessed a significant amount in Oman, ginger on the other hand remained stable between the two countries.
While spinanch exhibited 450 tonnes in Qatar, Oman’s households imported further 150 tonnes to get to 600 tonnes. While peas were the least imported category in Qatar at 150 tonnes, Spinanch was three times more.
While garlic recorded the highest number of imports at 800 tonnes in Oman, brocolli and ginger each had 300 tonnes in 1990. Additionally, spinanch which was at 600 tonnes was 200 tonnes away from garlic in Oman. As a result, it was ranked the second largest imported vegetable. Qataris recorded 150 tonnes of peas which was 250 tonnes less than Omanis 400 tonnes. Moreso, Omani imported 80 tonnes more of brocolli compared to 220 tonnes in Qatar.
