The chart above shows proportion about the two gendres who enjoying their leisure time in the period between 1996 to 2006, and the the activities they do for this purpose.
overall, males proportion was higher than females, although it decreased over time, and visiting pop centres was the main leisure activity for them, while beachs were the most popular place to women.
At the beginning, 90 percent of males enjoyed their leisure time, but this proportion deceased slightly after that, which recorded 80% in the year 2001, and 70% in the year 2006. in contrast, females pattern of enjoying leisure time increased over time, where it was 40% in the year 1996, then rose significantly to 55% in 2001, and 65% at the end.
Regarding to the of time leisur activities, the cinema was more attracted to women than men, which accounted 25% and 10% respectively, while spending time in beach recorded the highst percentage for women at 30%, with small difference for men that accounted 25%. In the other hand, pop centres was the most popular places men spent their time there, recording 30%, and only half of this figure for women. The other categories as museums and KTV was approximatly the same for both genders, recoeding 20% for men and 18% for women, while recorded 15% and 12% respectively for KTV.
