The bar charts illustrate the time allocated for preferences between genders from 1996 to 2006, as well as their tendency to venture out during 2006. Overall, males tended to engage in leisure activities more than their counterparts, while there was a fluctuation in leisure destinations between two demographics.
It is evident that masculine individuals demonstrated a strong dominance in the time spent for free-time activities throughout the years, reaching the peak of around 90% in 1996. However, this trajectory declined over time, shrinking to 80% in 2001 and 70% in 2006. In contrast, although only a minority of females indulged in leisure activities, at lower than 40% in 1996, it saw a sharp rise in the following years, increasing to almost 60% and more than 60% in 2001 and 2006, respectively.
It seems that the two groups exhibited fluctuating trends. Whereas pop center was dominated by males at 30%, the reverse was true for cinemas with female participation rate at 25%. Notably, a relatively similar percentage was seen between genders in museum, at 20%, albeit less pronounced in females. Additionally, beach was their most favorite destination, attracting a sharp proportion between two genders, at around 30%. Finally, only a minor of over 10% of females enjoyed KTV, compared to 15% in males.
