The charts below illustrate the amount of readers regarding of reading specific types of book at A-Z library in 2009. Both show some discernible disparities, which reflect their interests and possibly their life stages.
Overall, there are some notable differences between the 19-25 years old and 26-34 years old. While the percentage of science fiction books is 9% in chart 1, the second is 7%. Novel and Self-help books are also bear no relation to each other, as 23.7% with 20.7% and 58% with 62% in comparison.
The biggest differences lies on biographies, with 10% in chart one and 31% in chart two. In essence, 26-34 years old’s chart is often considered as keen on reading biographies and while on the other hand, the other chart seems hooked on self-help books and novels.
In light of the above, both charts present significant disparities in reading preferences between the two age groups. These notable features will predictably change in the near developed future due to evolving reading trends.
