The given diagram illustrates information about the proportion of students who enrolled in different curriculums at an education centre for mature, from 1985 to nowadays.
Overall, it can be observed that the number of learners taking part in art and modern languages reduced while cookery increased and fitness and dance had no chance. Additionally, two courses that were local history and music appreciation disappeared and IT was added.
Looking at the statistics of art in 1985 the rate of pupils in this subject was about 17% then this figure today has seen a reduction to 15%. In the past, the number of adults who learned modern languages accounted for nearly a quarter. However, at present, its percentage decreased to under a-fifth with just 17%. Meanwhile, the only course that this rate is higher compared to the past is cookery with 5% higher than in 1985 with 19%.
Turning onto the other subject, fitness and dance’s proportion is as same as in the past with about 22% in both years. Additionally, in the previous days, there were two curriculums which were music appreciation and local history with 8% and 15% in that order. However, nowadays, IT replaced those courses and accounted for 27% of the total.
