Overall, the percentage of time spent on social networking is the dominant figure for youngsters, while booking travel and cinema is the highest time spent for elderly people.
Regarding the 18 to 26 age group, the most popular internet activity is social networking, 24%, the second highest is accessing music or movies at 21%, and the proportion of time spent for researching at 20%. Moreover, there is a moderate difference between the figures for playing games and making purchases by 6%, 18% and 12%, respectively. However, booking cinema and travel is the least activity they spend on, only 5%.
Meanwhile, the highest percentage of internet activity spent among 60 to 70 age group is booking cinema and travel, 25%. There is a minimal difference between the shares of social networking and doing research by a margin of 1%, as the former accounts for 22% whereas the share of the latter is lower, 21%. Additionally, their time spent on accessing music and movies is 15%, and the figure for shopping is 12%, in comparison with playing games by 7%, which contributes to only 5%.
