The two pie charts illustrate the percentage of volunteers in two years (2008 and 2014), sorted according to organizations.
In 2008, the educational organization attracted highest proportion of volunteers, at 24% followed by the environmental organization at 21%. A small minority of volunteers showed interest towards the art organization at 18%. Both the health care and sport organizations accounted for smaller shares, at 7% and 18% respectively.
In year 2014, there was a considerable increase in volunteers in the environmental organization, rising up to 29%. On the other hand, there is a slight decrease in the volunteers in both the educational and art organizations, falling down to 17% and 12% respectively. There is a significant increase in the sport organization’s volunteers, jumping up to 25%. Finally, there is an extremenly minor increase in the health care organization’s volunteering, slightly rising up to only 8%.
Overall, while no single organization dominated volunteering in both years, environmental organization could still be considered one of the most popular choices in both years. In contrast, health care consistently represented the smallest proportion of volunteers in both years.
