The charts describe data about the production of different citrus fruits by three countries: Brazil, China, and the USA.
Overall, the production of oranges was the largest proportion in both Brazil and the USA, while China produced the most tangerines. In comparison, the production of other citrus fruits was the least in all three countries shown in this figure.
In Brazil, the vast majority of citrus fruit production was oranges, accounting for 87%, followed by tangerines and lemons at 6% and 5%, respectively, while other citrus fruits and grapefruit were produced in the lowest fractions, with 1% each.
Turning to China, although the greatest production percentage went to tangerines, at 74%, there was the smallest production of other fruits, established at 2%. Oranges and lemons were next, each at 18% and 3%, respectively, as was grapefruit, also at 3% in China.
Regarding citrus production in the USA, the biggest percentage was oranges, recorded at 73%; grapefruit was second, at nearly one-fifth (16%), and lemons accounted for almost one-tenth of production (7%). In contrast, tangerines and other citrus fruits comprised a tiny minority, at 3% and 1%, respectively.
