The pie chart illustrates the percentage of accommodation used during holidays by people in 1988, 1998, and 2008.

Overall, the most popular form of lodging was staying at home, although its proportion declined over the years. Camping also exhibited a similar decreasing trend, while other types of accommodations experienced growth.

The types of accommodations that showed an increase included rented apartments and hotels. Rented apartments, which were the least preferred option in 1988, saw significant growth in subsequent years, rising from 7% to 11% from 1988 to 1998, and then from 11% to 22% by 2008. Hotels also experienced growth, increasing to just over a quarter of the total, from 15% to 22% between 1988 and 1998, and then maintaining a steady percentage thereafter.

On the other hand, the decreasing accommodations were camping and staying at home. Camping suffered a dramatic decline from 1988 to 1998, falling to just 13%. Meanwhile, the preference for staying at home initially saw little change; however, it dropped significantly to 44% by 2008.
