Overall, the sales of new three cars showed different trends, with Sedans recorded the highest figure at the start of the period, before accounted for just over half of the market.
According to the chart, Sedans made up the largest share of market, standing at 74%. The figure then experienced a gradual decrease made up nearly 60% in 2004. It then fell slightly and represented roughly half of the market.
The remaining categories represented considerably smaller proportions. The SUVs experienced a gradually rose from 7% in 1994 to 17% in 2004 and 2013, it the smallest category. By comparison vehicles classified as “Others” accounted for 19% at the start of the period. It then went up slowly, reaching 21% in 2004. Finally, the figure constituted 32% at the end of the period.
