The pie charts depict the percentage of holidaymakers who used four different type of accommodations consisting of staying with family, rented apartment, camping, and hotels in 1988, 1998, and 2008.
Overall, the proportion of travellers who stayed with their families was the dominant figure almost all compared time. Additionally, the number of apartment which was rented by holidaymakers showed the most significant upward trend througjht the period.
In the beginning of the period, staying with family was the most popular choice, at 52%. As for the number of travellers who chose camping and hotels was lower, with 26% and 15% respectively. Finally, the share of rented apartment saw the lowest figure. at only 7%.
In the following years, the proportion of the number of holidaymakers staying with their families witness a slight increase to 2% points higher in 1998 before doppring to 44% in the next decade. The percentage of holiidaymakers choosing camping plummeted significantly to a half in 1998, and dropped to 12% by 2008. In contrast, the share of hotels rose to 22% in 1998, and remained unchanged in the next ten years. Similarly, the figure for rented apartment saw a notable increase to 11% in 1998; by 2008, it had doubled, at 22%.
