The two pie charts depict how energy was produ from six different sources including oil, natural gas, coal, nuclear, hydrogen and other renewable resources, in a particular nation in the years 1985 and 2003. The data has been calibration in percentage.
Overall, oil made up the largest part of the chart, while hydrogen and other renewable sources were the smallest segments in both the years.
After a cursory glance, it xan be observed that natural gas accounted for 13% of power generation in 1985, and experienced an increase by 10% in 2003. Production of energy from othere renewable sources was 1% in 1985 and had a slight growth of 3% in 2003, which marked at 4%. At the beginning of the period, coal made up of 8% of total energy produced respectively, and this figure rose to 13% towards the end of the given period.
In contrast, oil, which comprised of almost half of total energy in 1985, fell to 39% in 2003. In 1985, output from nuclear was at 22%, which decreased by 5% after 18 years. However, contribution of hydrogen in the total production remained constant in both the years at 4%.
