The bar graphs illustrate the average protein and calorie intakes of citizens in several regions of the world.
In general, the rankings of these areas are similar in both categories, with North America leading the chart and India languishing at the opposite end. Additionally, North America is the only region whose figures exceed the ideal intake of protein and calories.
Turning to the first bar chart, it is noticeable that North America tops the list and is the only area passing the standard level, registering 80 units.
There is a marked disparity between this region and Latin America, with the statistic for the former being nearly double that of the latter, which stands at 45 units. In these two leading regions, animal protein accounts for a large proportion of protein intake. This trend was not observed in the data for East Africa and India, which are the third-ranking and last-ranking areas, with animal protein just contributing approximately 50%.
Regarding the second bar chart, the rankings are similar, with North America having the highest statistic, with about 3500 calories, which exceeds ideal calorie intake. However, those of the other areas are below that standard level, with Latin America registering roughly 2800 calories. Compared to the figure for Latin America, those of East Africa and India are lower, with around 2300 and 2000 calories, respectively.
