Overall, while there was an increase in Ph.D-Science, Master-Art and Ph.D-Art qualifications, the opposite was true for First Degree – Science and Art. Additionally, the percentage of staff mastering Science remained unchanged over the period.
As for science degrees, the figure for Ph.D staff accounted for 12% in 1990, followed by a considerable increase to precisely 30% after 20 years. By contrast, the proportion of employees obtaining a first degree level took up one fifth, declining to nearly a half in 2010, at only 11%, while that of mastering qualifications experienced a leveling off at 29%.
In 1990, the percentage of employees mastering art professions constituted 21%, after which it went up slightly by 2% in the next 20 years. Similarly, the figure for Ph.D Art qualifications started at 2%, growing moderately to 5%. Meanwhile, the data of staff who got a first degree in art decreased significantly from 15% to a very little rate, at 2%.
