The pie chart compares staff’s qualifications of an advertising company in years 1990 and 2010. Overall, the proportion of staff qualifying from First Degree – science and art decreased noticeably. Other fields, however, did not experience any decreases, with only Master – science remaining stable.
The number for staff qualified from First Degree – science amounted to 20% in 1990, however, by 2010 it had fallen to 11%. First Degree – art experienced the biggest decline in the number of specialists, in 1990 it was 15%, but in 2010 this number came to 2%. Ph.D – art was the least popular field in both years, from an initial 2% in 1990, rose slightly to 5% by 2010.
The field Ph.d science saw the biggest percentage change – from an initial 12% rising up to 30%, and becoming the most popular field by the end of the period. The area Master – art was the second biggest category in 1990, despite witnessing a slight increase from 21% to 23%. It had moved down to third place by 2010, giving its position to First Degree – science, which stood at 29% in 1990 and remained unchanged.
