The two pie charts provied information why students choose to study in a UK university in 1987 and 2007.
Overall, it is easily glanced that in both periods, students chose universities mainly for suitable degree courses. However, in 1987, fewer students selected universities because of the quality of resources. In contrast, in 2007, fewer students chose institutions based on the availability of good sports facilities and social activities.
Firstly, suitable degree courses indicated the highest rate which chosen by students ( 35%) in 1987. In 2007 it rose to 37 % , in both interval most students selected universities because of this. In 1987, based on good sports and social activities illustrated 19 percent however, in 2007 the fewest students chose university because of it ( 6 percent).Therefore, there were not big varieties choosing for quality teaching ( in 1987 15 percent and in 2007 18 percent) and close to parental home ( in 1987 21 percent and in 2007 17 percent). Moreover, in 1987, the fewest students selected universities because of the quality of resources (10 %). In contrast, in 2007 it increased to 22%.
