The Charts illustrate the findings of a survey conducted on adult education. The first chart gives information about the main motivation behind adults’ decision to study. The pie chart displays that according to most people’s view, how different groups should contribute to the cost of adult education of an individual.
In the first chart, we see that the main reason why adults consider studying is the interest in the respective subject (40%). The least motivating aspect of it is to meet people (9%). On the other hand, the pie chart shows that in most people’s opinion the employers and taxpayers should bear the most of the price of one’s education (60%).
The first chart shows that following the biggest motivation of studying for adults (interest in subject which accounts for 40%), the desire to gain qualification is the second highest one (38%). 22% of adults study because they think it will be helpful for their current job followed by the 20% of them who think it will improve their prospects of promotion. 20% and 12% of adults study because they enjoy learning and to be able to change jobs respectively. For only 9% of them, the motivation is to meet people through studying.
The pie chart shows that an individual should pay 40% of the total price of their education by themselves. Employers and taxpayers should contribute to the rest of it (35% and 25% respectively)
