The bar chart compares peoples’ motive for education, and the pie chart illustrates how the expenditure on courses should be divided.
It is clear that people mostly want to get education due to their interests in subject. We can also see that individuals pay more than employers and taxpayers.
According to the bar chart reasons for education such as enjoying learning, improving prospects of promotion, helpfulness for current job, gaining qualifications and interest in subject are at 20% or higher. Both enjoying learning and improving prospects of promotion are at 20%, helpfulness for current job is at 22%, and gaining qualifications and interest in subject are much higher than the previous ones, and are 38% and 40% respectively. By contrast, motives such as meeting people which is 9% and possibility of changing job that is 12% are less popular.
Looking at the expenses profile pie chart, we can see that spendings on course from individuals are 40% that higher than other two categories. However, the least taxpayers spend, which is 25% of all costs. Employers stay at the middle position and they pay 35% of all expenses.
