Overall, most young and middle-aged population uses internet in searching for information while majority of retired individuals watches TV.
The proportion of shares in the usage of young and middle-aged citizens are relatively similar. Internet is the most used tool for young and middle-aged citizens with 56% and 40% usage, respectively. This is to be followed by “others” that accounts for 24% among middle-aged individuals. The second most used for younger generations is TV that is about 16% with the same ratio for middle-aged. With this, the most least entertained for younger ones is “others” with only 15%. Reading news paper and magazine served as the least used for young individuals obtaining 1/5 of the middle-aged population.
Retired individuals had a different approach compared to the newer generations with 38% of TV exposure and 27% of reading news papers or magazines. On the other hand, others and internet got 19% and 16%, respectively, which is the smallest portion for the elderly.
