The two charts below illustrate the data about what dance classes are attended by Australian youth and where those are located.
Overall, most classes are hosted in private studios, while the least are located in college-based studios. Additionally, more young individuals under 11 are attending the classes than the second age group from 11 to 16.
The location of almost half of the dance classes are private studios at 48%, whilst after-school classes only accommodate just under one-fourth classes at 24%. The least popular locations to organize the classes are community halls and college-based studios – their percentage accounts for 18% and 10% respectively.
Meanwhile, half as much kids under 11 attend ballet than those from the age group of 11-16. The numbers comprise 300 and 600. The number of individuals visiting tap classes is almost similar among both groups: roughly 450 students by the youngest group and slightly over 400 by the oldest one. Finally, modern dance classes are the only ones that are more popular by the second age group than the first one: only 300 students attend those versus just over 50
