Similarly, in 1980, the household of New Zealand spent 29% of the total amount on food and drink, 27% on utiity bills, 18% on leisure activities, 17% on transport, and 9% on other, while in 2000, it spent 31% of the total funds on utility bills, 25% on food and drinks, 17% on leisure activities, 16% on transport, and 11% on other.
