The pie charts compare how the trend of tourism from five regions has changed over the half century to the two countries, Australia and Germany.
Overall, tourists from Europe were the highest who visited Australia in 1960, but this changed in 2010, people from Asia became the most visited, and European’s number drastically plummeted. Visit of Brits and USA’s citizens did not shows any major changes. In 1960, Asians who visited Germany their number was not high but their count increased in 2010. In contrast, tourists from Britain declined in 2010 if we compare it to 1960. For the USA and Europe, there weren’t any significant changes.
For Australia, In 1960 Europeans who visited Australia were at 53% but this declined to 10% in 2010. In contrast, people of Asia their number sky rocked to 63% in 2010 from 10% in 1960. Tourists from Britain were 25% in 1960 with the slight change it comes to 20% in 2010. USA’s visitors was 12% in 1960 and without any sudden changes it comes down to 7%.
In Germany, Europeans remained the highest in both years, 1960 and 2010, at 45% and 40%. Asian people’s arrivals increased to 25% in 2010 from 10% in 1960, but the contribution of the British to tourism has declined to 6% in 2010 from 20% in 1960. The USA did not show any major changes, it slightly increased from 25% in 1960 to 29% in 2010.
