The pie charts display the specific UK school spendings in 5 components for their school, such as teachers’ salaries, insurance, other workers’ salaries, resources, and furniture and equipment. Overall, the school spending around 20 years increased specially for teachers’ salaries, insurance, and furniture equipment. In other components, like resources and worker salaries decreased over the periods.
From 1981 to 1991 the resources e.g books increased 5% from 15 to 20% but the next ten years the resources components dropped drastically to 9%. Similar to resources, the other worker salaries also decreased around 13%. This may have happened because of technology usage like e-book than traditional books and the usage of robots for school activities.
The increase of teachers’ salaries and insurance indicates the school focused on the security of their employment. For twenty years the insurance jumped from 2% to 8%. This means almost 6% changes on school spending. Not only teachers’ salaries, the furniture and equipment of the school jumped 8% over the period. It indicates the school’s concern on the facilities development for their school.
