The three pie charts compare the yearly spending of a particular school in the United Kingdom in 1981, 1991 and 2001. The data show in three pie charts that represent the categories of spending such as insurance, teachers’ salaries, furniture and equipment, resources e.g. books, and other workers’ salaries. According to the charts, insurance was the lowest amount of spending, while teachers’ payment was the highest spending.
Based on the chart, the workers’ salaries are divided into educators’ salaries and non educators” salaries. The teachers’ salaries were increased while the other workers’ were decreased in general. The trend of those categories is also different. The teachers’ salaries percentage fluctuated from 40% in 1981 to 50% in 1991 and decreased slightly in 2001 by 45%. Meanwhile the other workers’ salaries were constantly decreasing from 28% to 15%.
By the support aspect, there are two spending components present such as resources e.g. books and furniture and equipment. These categories had the same percentage in 1981, and also had fluctuated. However there was a different pattern of changes on those aspects. The resources component increased in 1991 to 20% and fell into 9% in 2001. Meanwhile the furniture and equipment component significantly decreased in 1991 by 5% and rose up to 23% in 2001.
On the other hand insurance percentage were mildly increased from 2% in 1981 to 3% in 1991 and consistently increased to 8% in 2001. The fluctuation in these categories is the most stable compared to others. It has a small amount of improvement but it also has a steady trend through the following year.
