The three pie charts describe variation consumption annually in a specific British school in three periods (1981, 1991 and 2001). There were five categories of expenditure, including insurance, teachers’ salaries, furniture and equipment, resources and other workers’ salaries. Overal the teachers’ salaries were the highest spending while the insurance was the lowest. Insurance was increased from 1981 until 2001, other workers’ salaries decreased and the other category fluctuated.
The employee salaries show a different trend that teachers’ salaries rise and other workers’salaries fall. In 1981, teachers’salaries were 40% and climbed in 1991 but declined 5% in 2001. Contradicting with other workers’ salaries that go down about 13%.
Academic resources and furniture and equipment in 1981 appear in the same data at 15%. In 1991, resources grew to 20% while furniture and equipment fell significantly to 5%. But in the last year, both showed different trends: resources dropped considerably to 9% and furniture and equipment soared significantly to 23%. The last category, insurance, increased gradually from 2% to 8%.
