The bar charts illustrate the number of boys and girls fallen into 5-14 age group who enrolled in cultural events as well as sports in Australia in the year 2013.
Taken as a whole, it can be seen that both boys and girls were probably active to participate in various activities, with the latter being more in terms of drama, dancing, and singing. Moreover, while the figure for girls was the highest in dancing, the reverse was true for that for boys.
Focusing on the activities where girls performed more actively, they outnumbered male ones by a margin of nearly 22%, constituting about 25% and mere 2%, respectively. Similarly, in terms of drama and singing activities the numbers in both genders were identical, with the figure for women being exactly 5% and that for men making up about 4%.
As for other two activities—playing musical instruments and sports, the former was only one activity which was more suitable for males, due to the data that exactly 15 % of boys indicated they had more proportion rather than girls (10%). When it comes to sport, there were significantly huge numbers rather than cultural activities, with the 70% of males taking part and the approximately 55% of females joining in it.
