The two given bar graphs illustrate the proportion of female and male youngsters in the age of 5-14 participating in cultural activities and sports in Australia in 2003.
Overall, it is evident that, primarily, girls took part in cultural activities more than boys, to which the proportion was opposite in sports.
In cultural activities, the percentages of female and male children contrasted the most greatly in dancing in which only approximately 2% of boys participated, up to over 10 times less than girls. Drama and singing mutually shared a 5% portion of girls slightly outnumbering boys. Playing musical instrument was the only reverse: 15% of boys compared with 10% of girls.
In sports, given 70% boys compared to 55% girls involved, a 15% difference can be straightforwardly observed.
