The tables describe how much income was expended on food and other products by 3 countries between 1998-2008.
Overall, in 1998, belonging to country 2 was the highest consumption of both food and other goods, however, its rank shifted after ten years. Country 1 from the runner-up, became the region consuming both categories the most in the last examined year. Moreover, all three countries experienced significant growth.
As can be seen in the first period, the citizens’ spending on food in country 2 peaked at 25%, higher than that of country 1 and 3 by 10% and 15%, respectively. Also, this country still held its ranking in the consumption of the other goods sector, at around 17%, and was double that of country 1 and country 3 both at 5%.
According to the last period, the food and other goods sector recorded that the spending rate of country 1 went up notably to 40%, higher than the figure for the runner-up (country 2) in 2 fields. Moreover, country 2 in two examined fields, namely food and other goods, showed a slight increase by 5% and nearly 10%, respectively. Regarding country 3, while the amount of money spent on food was at 15%, the figure for the other goods category accounted for 35%, rising sharply by around 28% in 2008.
