The pie charts show changes in the proportion of people who volunteered for different organizations from 2008 to 2014. Overall, the percentage of volunteers involved in healthcare, sports, and environmental organizations adhered to rising trends, while the reverse was true for the remaining organizations.
In 2008, only 24% of people volunteered for educational organizations, the highest figure on the chart. However, it saw a modest decrease of 6%, falling from 24% to 17%. From 2008 to 2015, the participation volume of volunteers in art organizations started off at 18%, followed by a slight decline from 18% to 12% throughout the period. The share of volunteers who were attracted by other types of organizations stood at 15%, after which it dropped to 9% in 2014.
The rate of volunteers in the remaining organizations—healthcare, sport, and environmental—registered a rise in their percentage. The figure for sport organizations jumped from 15% to 25%, the largest increase on the charts. The share of volunteers who took part in environmental organizations saw a marked growth from 21% to 29% over the given period. Having started at 7% in 2008, the proportion of volunteers who took part in healthcare services closed at 8% in the final year, showing the smallest change on the chart.
