The two pie charts illustrate the distribution of different transport methods used by urban citizens in 2010 and 2020. Overall, it is obvious that cars were the most popular means of transportation used by almost city dwellers, while their popularity declined over the years.
As can be seen from the charts, initially, cars occupied half of the total means of transport, declining rapidly by 10% to 40% in 2020. Similarly, walking showed a downward trend with less than a fifth in the proportion of city dwellers who traveled on foot in 2010, before falling slightly by 5% to one in ten in 2020.
When it comes to the categories experiencing an upward trend, public transport accounted for 20% in the percentage of city dwellers by 2010 climbing to less than a third by 2020. Similarly, there was a insignificant rise by 5%, from 10% to 15%, from 2010 to 2020. Meanwhile, the percentage of urban citizens traveled by other transport remained stable at 5% in both 2010 and 2020.
