The pie charts illustrate how the percentage of tourist , who selected three seperates type of accommodation in holidays, changed in three different years including 1965, 1985 and 2005.
In 1965, The largest proportion of accommodation , where people stayed , was friends or relatives houses with a 55% ratio while another options (hotel , camping and caravans) were almost equal approximately around 15% . However, The figure of tourist that stayed with friends or relatives was dramatically fall to 30 % at the end of period.
In contrast, The percentage of people that stayed in hotel was increased from 16% to 38% overperiod as well as at the end the strong upward trend eventually outraced people who stayed with freind or relatives. This trend was mirrored by holidaysmaker who selected caravans eventhough there are some fluctuations but finally the number rose from about 14% to 25%.
Overall, there was a strong upwards trend in the percentage of holidaysmaker who stayed in hotel. Although the figure of people staying with acquaintance selected more than hotel in 1965, their figure fell to below the level of hotel in 2005.
