The three pie charts show the percentage of users across different age range on three social media platforms: Twitter, Facebook and YouTube.
Overall, across all three social media apps, the 18-34 and 34-49 age groups collectively accounted for more than half total users. By contrast, the proportions for the remaining age groups never exceeded 20 percent.
Beginning with the 18-34 group, this group made up 40 percent Twitter, accounting for the highest percent in three charts. On Facebook, the age group constituted 29 percent and 26 percent on YouTube. Turning to the 35-49 age group, Facebook and YouTube recorded similarly high proportions, at 30 percent and 29 percent respectively, but on Twitter the figure was lower than YouTube and Facebook, it constituted 29. Among the three younger age groups, the 10-17 group made up the lowest figures, it constituted 15 percent on YouTube, 14 percent on Facebook and 9 percent on Twitter.
Meanwhile, the older age group (50-64 group and 65+ group) made up the lowest figures across three charts. The 50-64 group accounted for 18 percent on Twitter, 19 percent on Facebook, and 20 percent on YouTube. However, for those aged 65 and over, the figures for all three platforms did not exceed 10 percent. Specifically, this age group constituted 10 percent on YouTube, 8 percent on Facebook, and only 4 percent on Twitter.
