The given process illustrates how frozen fish pies are produced.
Overall, this is a very complicated process which has many steps involved in. Moreover, the process started with fresh salmon and potatoes and ended with finished products being stored and dispatched.
At the beginning, up to one month old potatoes are delivered to the factory by a lorry. After the potatoes arrive at the factory, they are rinsed through water before peeled and cut into small slices. The sliced potatoes are boiled in a huge pot and set aside to cool them down. The former potatoes were then preserved in packs.
Meanwhile, the fresh salmon is delivered to the factory within 12 hours or less. Then, the salmon is seasoned with lime juice and salt before being steamed in the oven. Cooked salmon then go through a conveyor belt where they are debone and remove the skin. The salmon is then passed through an inspector to make sure there is no bone and skin left. Prepared beans and sauce with processed potatoes are put together before being wrapped. The wrapped products are then stored and dispatched after being frozen in a freezer.
