Image for topic: The diagram below gives information about the recycling of glass and plastic containers. Summarise the information by selecting and reportingthe main features and making comparisons where relevant.
Our system will evaluate the answer based on this AI-generated description.
The image illustrates the lifecycle of glass and plastic with recycling starting from collection (3-8 weeks), then transportation (5-10 days), sorting glass by color, sorting plastic by thickness and quality, bundling, shredding, washing, crushing, melting, reshaping (must be done by separate machines), followed by new product formation. Glass involves melting and reshaping (done by the same machine), while plastic involves washing, melting, reshaping, and washing again before it becomes a new product.
Given the complexity of the image, the above description may not be entirely accurate.

The diagram below shows how glass and plastic containers are recycled.

Overall, the process of glass and plastic recycling includes some vital stages and divides into two distinct stages, such as sorting glass and sorting plastic.

According to the diagram, the process starts with collection of waste, which took 3-8 weeks.. After approximately 5-10 days, the waste is transported to recycling center in garbage truck. Subsequently, the recycling splits into two streams. In initial stage of glass recycling, the special equipment sorts glass by color. After a while, glass is crushed and meticulously washed. The next stages are melting and reshaping, but they must be done by two different separate machines. Finally, after all of these, the new product is ready to be used.

In turn of plastic recycling, the initial stage is sorting plastic by thickness and quality. Afterwards, certain equipment bundle them. As can be seen, some time later, the bundled materials are gradually shredded. After some period, they are washed. In this process the next stages are same with glass, they are melting and reshaping, but unlike to the first one, these stages have to be done by the same machine. In the final stage, new containers are created.
