The diagram illustrates how water is taken from lakes, and processed step by step to be able to distribute clean water to houses in six steps.
The first stage is that water is pumped from the lake and then this water intake is passed through two coagulants in a coagulation stage. The third stage is a sedimentation stage where water is separated from sediments to get a cleaner water. Sediments are removed through a pipe in this system. After that, water is passed through four-step filtration stage so that more purified water is received. In the next stage, viruses are disinfected not to make the water contaminated. Finally, usable water is received and stored well before distributing it to homes for everyday use.
Water is treated well in every stage so that the final product becomes usable and these steps are repeated every time.
