Overall, the complete life cycle last between 3 and 5 years, there are 3 steps involved in the process, from eggs to marturity.
The life of the salmon begins when the fermale lays an eggs in a uper river. After approx 5 and 6 months, the eggs hatched become nymph was called “Fry”. Furthermore, in this stage “Fry” salmon’s size is different between 3cm to 8cm in length, the Fry then swim to lower flowing part of the river. After growing and feeding there for about 4 years, they reach 12 to 15 centimeters and are considered “Smolt”. They then head to the ocean where they grow into “Adult Salmon” average 70 – 76 centimeters long. They spend around 5-6 years there, after which they migrate to the birth place to spawn, and the entire journey is repeated all over again.
