The two maps depict the transformation of a school from 1985 to the present day, comparing its former design with the current arrangement.
Overall, the school has undergone substaintial development. The most notable changes include the expansion of school population, the introduction of leisure and health-focused facilities, as well as a shift towards greater accessibility.
In 1985, the school had a simple layout, with an entrance in the northwest and an exit in the northeast surrounding a car park and providing access to the playing fields that occupied the entire southern section. An office was positioned immediated to the south of the entrance, while a library was situated in close proximity to the office. Meanwhile, a car park lay to the east of the library, adjacent to several classrooms. Additionally, to the east of the road leading to the playing fields, there was a two-storey classroom block.
Presently, the school has experienced significant modernization. Notably, the road providing access to the playing fields has been eliminated to accommodate the newly added trees, indicating a greater emphasis on green space for students. While the office remains largely unchanged, the library has been repurposed as a learning resource centre, accompanied by the addition of a computer room, reflecting an increased demand for digital development. Although the former car park was removed, the classrooms adjacent to it has been relocated directly to the south of the learning resouce centre. The classrom block has been added one more storey, whereas several newly constructed classrooms has been introduced close to it. One significant change includes the addition of a pool and a fitness centre in the southwestern corner, indicating a greater attention on promoting students’ overall well-being.
