The system consists of two main parts made of plastic, namely the above storage drum, which is for filtering, and the storage drum. Regarding the upper part, this plastic drum is where contaminated water is processed. It is a barrel with a plastic lid that contains three layers of sand, charcoal, and gravel, respectively. By going through these substances, dirty water is filtered and the contaminations inside are kept within these layers.
All of the water after this process is then stored in a storage drum below. The drum has the same size as the one above, with a tap near the bottom. Drinking water is finally available through that tap.
