The diagram illustrates a simple water filtration system.
Overall, the process involves multiple stages, starting from pouring contaminated water into a barrel, followed by a cleaning process, ultimately producing clean drinking water.
In the initial stage, dirty water is poured into a plastic barrel which has a plastic lid to cover the top. Inside this barrel, there are three main layers of materials, namely sand, charcoal, and gravel. Once poured, water is subjected to a thorough filtration process by passing through these layers one by one in order to remove dirt and impurities.
Subsequently, filtered water is transported to a storage drum via a pipe connecting the two containers. The drum adjacent to the barrel is utilized to store the purified water, so that drinking water can be taken out through the use of a tap.
