overall it’s clear from the maps that the museum has undergone a substantial redevelopment with several feature either relocated or transformed. The 1957 layout showed a limited range of facilities whereas, the 2007 layout stands out for a clear shift to a more diverse functional and diversified layout.
According to what is shown, in the 1957 layout, the museum was surrounded with a large green spaces with a variety of trees, while the museum building was small featuring only three rooms, local history room, museum store-room at the entrance, and at the end of the entrance lies the national history exhibition.
In terms of the 2007 layout, a large number of trees was removed to allow more space for the museum’s expansion. The entrance was situated in the museum shop, next to the shop is the reception which is adjacent to the cafe. the reception also opens on the central room of the museum which is the local history room, opposing it on the left there is special exhibitions room and on the right the education center.
