The maps illustrate how a small local museum and its surrounding features changed following their redevelopment over a course of five decades between the years 1957 and 2007.
In general, the museum underwent a number of alterations, the most important of which were the disappearance of most of a wooded section and the addition of some convenient amenities to cater more extensively for commercial purposes, reflecting a transformation from modestly developed to visitor-friendly area.
Regarding developments at surrounding elements, although a road retained its original position at the bottom of the map, a green area and a footpath above this aforementioned road was knocked down to make way for a car park and a vacant space. Meanwhile, the main building was expanded northward at the expense of some vegetation, facilitating the rearrangement of the entrance hall to the left of the map.
Turning to modifications inside the museum, upon entering this area though the entry point, one can immediately notice a looby area opposite to the entrance, but it was transformed into a museum shop which was once situated to the right of the old doorway. To the left hand side of the former entrance was a local history room, which was then relocated to the central part of the building. Moving further inside, one can see a national history exhibition at the rear of the museum, where there are now two newly established constructions, namely special exhibitions on the left and education centre on the other side. Another noticeable addition is a reception, which occupied the right of the new entrance where the lobby area was previously situated. A further striking development is the erection of a coffee shop at the far right corner from the entry point, upon arrival, tourists and town residents would have access to drinking café in the destination.
